If you search my posts, you will find me an admirer of Todd Corder's bullet molds and designs. If you are wanting to maximize your sixgun's potential as to cylinder length and penetration characteristics here is some information for you. Todd's molds cast excellent quality and very accurate bullets that hit hard. These are Lee 6 cavity molds.
.358 Caliber 180 grain bore riding long medium nose with gas check. LBT style with check as the rear driving band. 67% meplat .445" nose to crimp. Let's you use .357 data in 38 Special cases, or gets you more capacity in the .357's with longer cylinders. 90 each shipped.
.401 Diameter 200 grain Long Medium Nose gas check. Features a .410" nose to crimp 67% meplat .107" length parallel portion above the crimp groove allows taper crimp spot for 10mm Autos. (I'm treating myself to one of these as I can't wait to get a GP100 5" 10mm!!!) 90 each shipped.
.401" Diameter 230 grain Flat nose gas check. Features a .290" meplat .380" nose to crimp .116 parallel above the crimp groove for taper crimp location in 10mm auto. 90 each shipped. (guys, note the attention to detail in these designs!!)
.412 Diameter 270 grain LFNGC. Features a .410" nose to crimp with a .300" meplat. Great 41 Mag bullet that fits the N frame Smith. 90 each shipped.
.513 Diameter 300 grain short wide nose plain base. Features a .250" nose to crimp and a .395" meplat. Bullet OAL is .580" and seats .330" into the case. Made as a light duty and practice load for the 500 Linebaugh, 510 GNR and Bowens 50 Special. Turns your big 500 into a easy shooter. Recoil on par with a 45 Colt. 90 each shipped.
The 40 Caliber molds require a gas check seater as the shanks are snug (I made a gas check expander by beveling a pin punch) but they won't ever come off. Gator 41 BSS checks will work. They will also work with Hornady 416 in a pinch. Started them with a .410 Die and finish with a .4015" sizer. In the 38-40 WCF the 200 grain bullets run 1700 FPS and 2100 FPS in the 10" G2 Contender.
As you can see, these are well thought out designs that answer the call for some cast bullet designs that can't be found elsewhere. Plus, Todd is great to deal with.
