I've seen this designation a number of times in posts and classified ads and always thought it was an unintended typo for "SAA" (Single Action Army), but having seen it again recently, I'm thinking I'm missing something and this would be the place to ask for clarification.
ETA: I did another search on Google and Gunbroker and I'm thinking my initial thoughts were correct, but if I'm wrong...
...what makes a single action revolver an "SSA" variant?
If this is a touchy subject that I've somehow missed over the years, can someone please PM me and let me know?

It is sometimes automatically changed if there is a “spellcheck” on one’s computer and they don’t proof read before submitting. Apparently SSA (Social Security Administration) is more common than SAA for whomever designed the spellcheck?
