well as i have had a few of these...what is the barrel length?...i would think 650 to 800 would be fair in very good condition...if it is a 7.5" i would think closer to 900 to 1000 as long as no extra screw holes...God Bless,John

7.5" is the rarest length for the 44 Magnum Flattop. If you can get it for a reasonable price, I'd jump on it!

OK, I just went back and looked again. It has the black ruger medallion in the grip. Aluminum grip frame, and I believe steel ERH but I did not have a magnet. Definitely 5 digit serial # starting with 15XXX biggest blemish is turn ring on the cylinder. The bore and cylinders are clean and shiny.
I put it on layaway as this is not a good time to buy, but with the price I couldn't resist.
Thanks for your input all

What were they asking for it?? Just curious. I love the 7.5" flattops.

I do a lot of business with them as they are also a small engine repair shop and sell mowers, blowers, chainsaws......
Knowing that, the asking price was 600 but they gave it to me for a cash price of 500.

Thanks. That's why I bought it.
I don't need it so it had to be a good price to buy it.

An EXCELLENT score! The 7-1/2" guns are rare,, but not as rare as the 10" ones.
A gun in the condition you described would be well worth $1200 or more according the the RENE price guide. (Minty condition ones bring a bit more.)
And when you get it,, look at it closely. You mentioned it has a serial number with 15xxx. It should be higher than 15660. Also,, look at the grip frame markings,, to see if it has a XR3 grip frame or the XR3-RED grip frame. (Most likely a XR3.) And just for giggles,, look at the barrel address. if it has the ruger eagle beside the address,, it may also be unusual. But,, with the serial number,, again,, this is unlikely.
As noted,, you STOLE it!
