I bought an Dan Wesson IHMSA .32 magnum with the 8 inch barrel and two shrouds. It was the only reasonably priced DW .32 I could find. I much prefer 4 inch revolvers so I had the DW factory make me up a 4inch barrel and shroud. The problem I'm having is the rear sight notch is very narrow, it is designed for a much longer barrel and a narrow target style front blade. I am looking for a Millett Series 100 DW0001 rear sight to install in place of the factory sight. This is the version with the plain black blade. I've got a NIB DW00002 rear sight with white outline, but I prefer plain rear sights. Anyone know of a local shop that might have one somewhere on a dusty shelf or have an extra they'd like to trade? If all else fails I can paint the rear blade to cover the white outline but I'd prefer not to do that.
I can buy new rear sights from CZ, but I do like the Millets because the rear blade doesn't flop around like the factory DW sights.

I think you'll find that a Ruger Blackhawk (and other models) rear sight will fit, as will the offering from Hamilton Bowen.

I think you'll find that a Ruger Blackhawk (and other models) rear sight will fit, as will the offering from Hamilton Bowen. ***** Never tried a Ruger sight on a Dan Wesson. Just assumed it would not fit. A number of rear sights were made for Dan Wesson Arms, including one by Bo Clerke. Delivery hangups prevented adoption of the Bo Clerke sight. The rear sight slide of some Model 15 sights doesn’t “flop around.” Most consistent elevation adjustment came on later sights put on the big frame Model 44 and M40 series. My work with the Millett was brief, as non-factory parts could not be used on Production guns in silhouette. Richard Mertz used Millett on his MOA falling block, lever action single shot pistol----with great success in top championships. My objections to the Millett are mainly limited to short arc of elevation and the fineness of adjustments. If you use a Millett, by all means do as for all iron sights----grease or at least oil the screws. I suspect that the Aztec white outline surrounding a Millett notch was designed on Madison Avenue----not a FIRING LINE. Paint it black. I would oil----not grease----Millett iron sight screws. Greased, you won’t be able to feel the detents on Millett screws in the temperatures I’ve been shooting. For winter, my preference is synthetic motor oil. David Bradshaw

Thanks David. I ended up installing the white outline rear and I am going to paint the white outline to hide it.
