I talked to Mr. Harton today about a couple trigger jobs that I want him to do for me. He sounded pretty chipper so I hope he's continuing to improve. I've seen his name mentioned here often as a top of the line 'smith and you can imagine my surprise when I discovered quite by accident that he's only about 3 hours from where I live. I think this deserves a personal delivery.

I spoke to him a bit a couple days ago now. He is back in his shop and feels his stamina coming back. He is still not well however he has been able to keep his temperature under control with over the counter Aleve. He is waiting on a more sophisticated blood test that might lead to the culprit. I sure hope he gets that test sooner rather than later.

Alan has completed more sophisticated blood work and we are standing by for the results. He has been in his shop doing what he can. Stay tuned and thanks to all who care.

I delivered three revolvers to Alan today, An OM SBH, a NM Blackhawk, and a Single Six, all for trigger jobs. Today was the first time I've met him, but he seemed to be fine, he was working in his shop when I arrived. He also seemed a very personable, nice guy. From what I've read here, and the pictures some of y'all have shared, his work is unquestionable ! He is an artist ! I just wish I had the coin and time for a really nice custom makeover.........

Glad to hear he's better. I sent a couple of revolvers to him back in October for some minor work and hope to hear back from him soon.

Great news he’s feeling better and back at his shop! Seems that he’s working on Ruger again?

FYI, Mr. Harton called me this morning with questions regarding a couple of revolvers I sent to him for work. He was in good spirits and very upbeat, and said most of his symptoms are gone.

On Monday Alan will see his Dr to go over the test results. He’s quite a bit better but this mystery malady is doing its best to linger!

I just received my 1st generation Colt back from Alan yesterday. As usual it was perfect! I am really glad he is doing better. Such a talented gunsmith. And an all around gentleman.

I recieved my guns today Fed-Ex. Tried the triggers against my .44 Flattop (which I didn't take to him) and they are great ! Probably selling the Flattop so I'll let the next owner do that if he likes. Shooting tomorrow if weather permits !
