All in the write-up. 🤣 Or as a friend of mine said... "You paint them a picture with words, and let them step into it...".

I read about it HERE but I didn't know it was for sale. I figured he built it for himself.

I just don't see anything in that gun that is worth that kind of money.

As Mike Dale, the former RAF pilot and President of Jaguar, said after Ford purchased Jaguar, "They paid a lot for the sizzle". More than they paid for the steak.
That book wasn't inexpensive to produce.

Beautiful work no doubt, but I can't afford it and wouldn't if I could. I'm still impressed with his attention to detail.

That book wasn't inexpensive to produce. Yep. I guess I can see it if someone is really wealthy and really likes that gunmaker. One is buying more than a gun - one is buying a piece of that gunmaker's art - a piece that only one person can own.

Thats a great take on this. Do y'all think a $7500 Linebaugh falls into that category?

I have exactly ONE 1911 from Jason. It’s truly a work of art. Every line of the gun is perfect. The amount of handwork that goes into his builds is pretty staggering compared to what goes into a normal conversion we all like so much. The frames are hand filed to square up every surface then welded and machined/filed to get the perfect hand fit. They shoot like it as well! His guns do demand a premium and there aren’t a ton of them out there but he is a great guy to work with for sure. I wouldn’t pay 20K for one but we have to remember there are folks out there with that sort of change in their pocket. To pay that to them is like you or I buying a candy bar so ya just never know who will step up and buy one

I used to open my mouth and ask people why did you buy this or that? They may have worked as hard as I did, maybe harder. America the beautiful, thank you JMB.
