At $1800 you can’t get one built for that. I was in early and when I went back you were in. I let it go because I know how quick you find the next one and one gets bumped to Oklahoma. Right Tim? Stranger things have happened.... Tim

I'm surprised that it didn't bring more money....
If that had been a .357 I would have bid on it to have JRH rebore/rechamber it to .41 Special. I already have the exact match in .22 but the Clements .41 Speical I have was done on a .357 Shooting Master so the rear sight is different as is the frame...

That Shooting Master frame is larger than the SAA frame isn't it?
I have blank USFA cylinders and bushings I bought from Turnbull when USFA went out of business to rechamber and that's exactly what I'm thinking about.
There may be an option for a birdshead hammer in the works too.
Add a David Clements custom Keith style base pin and a custom rear sight that is in the hopper and I'd be good to go....

Yes, the frame is beefed up but the same cylinder is used as the standard guns...that's according to Gary Granger who was VP in charge of sales as that is where I bought an extra .357 Magnum cylinder to rechamber to .41 Special.
I have the original barrel and cylinder so the gun can be changed back into the original condition...
