That gun needs a bisley hammer and real ivories. I imagine the price will go up significantly from here.

It might be where its at because Uberti parts were still used up through the 20XXX and 21XXX serial range. It's still a bargain where it is right now.

Greg, Are you going to sell one of those dust covered customs out of your safe to make a place for this one?

Last time I was in Tennessee and takled with Mr. Bowen I brought up the Uberti parts thing. He sort of scoffed at the idea that they were in ANY way inferior. I figure he knows better than I do. He said the fit and finish of the USFA made it stand out, not origin of the parts. Just what I know.

I didn’t intend to say they were inferior just that some of the guns in that range weren’t all US parts. There are some checklists available to determine origin of the parts but the serial number is not enougb on its own. It’s a beautiful gun. I hope the introduction of the Standard Manufacturing gun drives the USFA prices back to a normal level. I think you got a great deal on it.

There's some sutff on the net that shows different trigger checkering patterns and all sorts of stuff to tell. I'm sure you folks have seen it. I'm just glad I got it for less than 2K. I set $1800 as my top price so $1802 isn't too much over that... Purdy good for me.... I can get sucked in pretty easily. But you already know that......

Nice buy! Brian Pearce's #5 was built on a gun with some Uberti parts. I have 3 of the USFA flattop targets and am always on the lookout for my next one, Hopefully a 22

At $1800 you can’t get one built for that. I was in early and when I went back you were in. I let it go because I know how quick you find the next one and one gets bumped to Oklahoma. Right Tim?
