In the past two years I have added three Uberti Big Bore Revolvers. Four if you count the one I ordered today. But, I can't shoot it yet.
1) Uberti Callahan 44 Magnum 7.5" 2) Uberti Flattop Target 45 Colt 7.5" 3) Uberti Bad Boy 44 Magnum 6"
Sure some are marked Dixie Gun Works, some Uberti and others Cimarron. They are all unquestionably Uberti.
Today was the day I shot them together. The Bad Boy had been shot earlier in the week. It regularly groups in the 1" range. Cast bullets in generic loads. Nothing tailored for the guns.
The beautiful Flattop Target was next. Groups hovered in the 1.25" range, dead centered.
Last, the Uberti Callahan. Groups also 1.25" to the point of boring. A few inches low with rear sight cranked down. No issues as the front sight was filed down and the blue touched up.
These guns are beautifully fit and finished. I just don't understand why more companies can't turn out guns like these.

Congratulations on the great score, sound like great revolvers without question. Looking forward to the review and range report on your newest one as well

I've been looking hard at one of the Dixie Uberti Flattop targets in 44-40 and one of their Bisleys in 38-40. I'm fighting the urge but it's getting stronger every day. I wish they had a Bisley Flattop target in 38-40 or 44-40/44 Special.

Certainly agree and would buy a Flattop Target in 38-40 and 32-20 without blinking an eye.

Want to point out a small negative to watch for on these guns...
This morning while cleaning the guns, I noticed some unusual residue in the throats. I couldn't see it before shooting, but the bullets had made it visible.
Something on the sort of varnish in the throats. The bullets had scarred it and made it start to flake.
It was clearly in both 44 Magnum guns, but not the 45 Colt.
Removed easily with acetone and Q-Tips. Now the throats are exactly uniform.
No ill effects, just something to watch for.
Hope this shrinks groups to the 1" mark as does the 45 Colt.
