Tim it is K273. This one heads to Alan next week for the internal hardness check. These guns really do remind me of a FA as far as lock up and b/c gap goes. Bill Grover may not have been the best businessman but he sure as heck knew how to build a vault tight revolver.

Robb, the orphan set I have has a 42 stamped into them. The other wooden set that was on your other 45 -#5 has a wooden spacer but no number stamped. I've always thought that the 42 had something to do with the original gun's serial number but maybe not. Need to see if the wooden set from your old 44 mag -#5 has a number. Tim

That's a beauty. One day I hope a TLA, me and the necessary funds are all three in the same place at the same time.

Nice find! My dream TLA is a 45 Colt case color with ivory. Missed one on the Ruger Forum years ago and haven't seen another since.

I have a TLA with case coloring and ivory in the safe but it is in 41, not 45. Still a pretty gun with the Persinger ivory and Turnbull colors!

Holy Smokes! That's beautiful. I treasure my plum Rugers but none come within light years of your TLA. Congrats!
