I am hearing about a Uberti Single Action, a cartridge convversion of the 1849 Pocket Model, a five shot .380 ACP.
This sounds absolutely intriguing!
Any reports from y'all?

Nice, love it. Always thought a 62 police conversion would be a great little gun.

Good timing, I'll have to keep an eye open. I was thinking of trying to convert an 1849 Pocket Model but this is much easier!

To correct my original post, the new gun is an 1862 Police model, not the 1849 Pocket. The 1862 Police Model (And Pocket Navy) used the same frame as the 1849 but had the forward section of the frame milled out to accommodate a rebated cylinder. That is, the front of the cylinder was larger in diameter that the rear part. This to accommodate the larger caliber bullets. This allowed a .38 caliber built on the .31 caliber frame.
