That .510 barrel is a bargain.
How does a guy end up with a parts stash like his?

Jack built me a 480 Ruger on a Midframed Flattop Frame. It is as fine as any Freedom Arms ever built. Truly a unique addition to any battery.

I wonder what's the rationale behind putting a handed barrel on a Hunter frame? At $220 shipped for a .510 banded barrel with FA base I suppose one could spring for a Hunter base gun.

Jack just needs to bring this stuff here. Plenty of market and no eBay fees.

Be warned, the lock work is different on the 5 shot Rugers!

The 510 barrel will work on a bisley hunter model?

The 510 barrel will work on a bisley hunter model? I believe the Hunter models have a thicker tenon than standard, so if it was me I would check to be sure.

You guys better decide on that barrel... it would work fine on my 56-50 conversion... only issue right now, is that it's stainless, & since I didn't think I'd find a reasonably priced stainless barrel, I've been shopping blued donar guns... ( WAIT>>> I LOOKED AGAIN>>> IT"S BLUED... Hey... you guys don't want that barrel ) ( said in my best Jedi controlling voice ) and you do know you could cut off the threads & fit it to a standard Ruger frame... just the barrel would be about .75" shorter... which would make it pretty short... hmmmm... 50 caliber snubbie
