I want to purchase a set of pin gauges to measure cylinder throats and possibly barrels. I imagine I would need two sets, but am not sure. I have revolver from .32 cal to .45 cal. I have been using the old way of using bullets to measure the throats, but there is a big difference in .313 bullets. I think it is time for me to start doing it right. If you guys have a particular brand, please mention it. Thanks in advance for any help you guys could give me!

I have the minus set from .250" to .500". For the life of me I can't remember who made them came in a red plastic case with each case hole marked by size. I've used them from my .32's to my .480 well worth the price.

That sounds good. Just what I am looking for. Where did you get them?

Mine are the -.0002" set from ebay. I gave under $100 shipped. Range from .251-.500" and have been flawless.
Checked various pins with a Starrett Micrometer and all are spot on.

I've seen a number of US made Meyer gage pin sets go for less than $100 on ebay lately. Keep your eye out. Most sellers gouge on shipping, but if you get one to ship in a flat rate box you can get it shipped for less than $20 USPS Priority. These .251"-.500" sets weigh nearly 25 lbs, so have them pack it well!

I bid on one set, and am watching several others. We will see what happens. Yeah, you really need to factor in shipping.

I'd like to find part sets between 17 caliber, & 22 calibers... & then up .500 to 50 caliber rifle dimensions... but guess buying individuals is the best bet

You still looking for a set? Might sell mine. Never used them. Lived without them for 40 years of reloading, no real use for them now.
