Besides the replacement sights for the Single 6/7s and the BFRs I am taking orders for another front sight that is intended to fix all the Ruger single actions that have a too short front sight. This will be a scaled up version of the Single Six sight and a full .670" tall with a bit thicker body to maintain a sense of proportion. There is enough blade there to satisfy the heavy bullet for caliber crew for sure.
These sights are intended to be silver soldered in place and will not have a screw hole. The barrel contour will match your Blackhawk and Super Blackhawk sixguns. These will come with serrations and be .125" wide standard. Initial pricing is set at 49.00 until I break 35 units and I can reduce the price to 42 dollars and at 50 orders I can do 35 dollars.
Options include cutting to desired height and contouring the topline. The .125" blade can be thinned to .115", .110", .100" all the way to .085" as you desire. This sight has been exceptionally popular and everyone of my clients has been thrilled with the improvement in their sight picture.
Get your Blackhawk or Super Blackhawk back in service. Once all the deposits are in, I expect delivery in about 4 weeks.

Ok, I know your sights are good. Can you radius one for a Colt SAA barrel? I'll PM the diameter of the barrel. Barrel length is 7.5. Mike

When you say silver soldered in place . do you mean they are already mounted in a base?

And , are the bases blued/cro mo in the white, or stainless?
Also . would they work on a shortened barrel SRH ??

And , are the bases blued/cro mo in the white, or stainless? Also . would they work on a shortened barrel SRH ?? These sights are a one piece unit. These are chrome moly which would normally be blued but could be chrome plated. I don't off hand know the radius of the barrel of the shortened SRH you refer to but several of my clients have opened the radius of the Single Six sight slightly to work on other barrels and I have opened that sight base as wide as .880" to fit the Ruger Mk III heavy barrel 22 auto so yes, I am sure it would fit. It will have the height you need to run big bullets. If I can get to 50 units, it will be hard to beat for 35 bucks. It would be a larger version of the sight on the right shown here but with the Ruger SBH radius cut into the base:

Would a barrel require a reblue after soldering on a sight?

Would a barrel require a reblue after soldering on a sight? Silver solder is a high temp operation, so yes, you will have to reblue your barrel. You have to get it pretty dang hot to get the old sight off in the first place! This is why I am always going on and on about making sure your FACTORY barrel doesn't have any bugs in it BEFORE you spend money on shortening or taking the warning off or recrowning or Taylor throating or because it is often just less hassle to just put on a new barrel that you KNOW does not have restriction, or chatter marks, and the crown is right, and the throat is perfectly cut and there never was a warning in the first place, yada yada yada...One of these days you guys are going to get tired of me....But I gotta say it just one more time! A Ruger factory barrel, properly set up, can be an absolute eye popping tack driver AND you will never have to clean it again.

As I'm a heavy bullet kinda guy. I want one for my SRH480 Ruger and SBH Bisley 45 Convertible. . I don't have the barrel diameters off the top of my head. But will get them on Saturday, Lord willing. I'll check around. See if any of my friends here would like to get some also.

I'll check around. See if any of my friends here would like to get some also. It might be in your case, this sight is the one that will work for your SBH and the one for the BFR (screw on) will work for your Redhawk as that one is a .825" taper barrel contour. So yes, please get back to me on your barrel contours. Also, do please talk to your friends. The bigger my initial order, the lower I can price these sights. Why shouldn't we use our combined buying power? Even if you don't intend to repair your OM sixgun right away you can always stash any parts away for the future. One of my clients pointed out these sights would make fantastic stocking stuffers or Christmas presents for his Sixgunning buddies!

A note from John Taffin:
Back in 1964 when Ruger went to the adjustable-sighted Single-Six .22 they really did it right by making the front sight an easy to see post rather than the ramp sights which are tougher to see in bright sunlight and they also attached them with a screw to make them easily interchangeable. Somehow they got away from thisstyle sight over the years. Now Fermin Garza is offering replacement sights with an easy to see post which is the best I have encountered in over 70 years of shooting. These are custom sights which are easy to install simply by using one screw and they are also custom in that you can order the height you want as well as the width, with most shooters going for 1/8"or 1/10"widths. I have installed these Garza Custom Sights on three .327 Single-Sevens, three .32 Magnum Single-Sixes, and I just ordered six more for .22s, Single-Sixes, Single-Nines, and Single-Tens. Not only are these provided in the height and width desired they are also high quality and nicely finished. Those of you who purchased the Shootist's Bisley Model 7-1/2" .44 Specials can now have custom front sights of the correct height. The sights are not only as described they are also exceptionally reasonable in price especially when one considers the custom specifications which are available. I highly recommend them. GOOD SHOOTIN' AND GOD BLESS, JOHN TAFFIN
