Was on Gun Broker the other day (two days ago) looking for some grips and saw several sets advertised a real ivory for sale. Also saw some Sambar stag grips for sale. Has the status changed on Ivory under the Trump administration?

Funny... when I'm on the main page showing all the latest posts in each topic... "Ivory Grips" is right under "Local Poachers" right now I'd like a pair of ivory grips on a deep blued gun sometime...

The majority of ivory grips I see for sale are from the company back in NC and they will only sell them within that state. You can still buy guns that wear ivory but it has a number of requirements for the exception to apply such as being pregame material, under a certain weight and under a certain percentage of the total package value. Note, some individual states I believe have banned all ivory sales even on existing guns.
PMs and email do have their place😊

Have you guys got any idea whether there are restrictions for travel in the case a person wanted to book a hunt in (use Montana for example) and go for Cougars using a six-gun; and that six-gun you wanted to bring had Ivory stocks?
Would there be an issue with such a thing in this kind-of case? Where do you even look to find out if there's restrictions on possession of Ivory for something like that?

If it were me I wouldn’t worry about it since you already own the gun. But, that is just my opinion.
