Does anybody own one of his builds or have pictures to share? For all his influence, aside from FA I don't think I've seen much if any of his work.

Back in the early Seventies when I was in High School I used to shoot at a range above Salt lake City in the foothills. (Holiday Gun Club) I remember there was a guy who was sort of a range master who had a big single Action that I remember as a 454 Casull. At least it was a powerful cartridge. I was used to my Old Model 41 Magnum and his revolver made mine look like a pea shooter, at least in my eyes. I have often wondered, since, who he was and exactly what gun he had but I am pretty sure it was a Casull magnum of some sort. Maybe eve a young Dick Casull ?

GIVE ME YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS AND I WILL SEND SOME PICTURES OF THE .38 CASULL--HAVE HIS FOLDING TRIGGER POCKET .22 BUT NO PICTURES HANDY. CAN ALSO SEND SOME OF HIS EARLY SINGLE ACTIONS IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO POST THEM HERE.

I remember shooting a 38 casull at the old American Handgunner World Shoot Offs, it was a nice gun, that would’ve made a nice hunting gun for an auto.

I believe John Linebaugh showed me a Casull built single action or two in his shop.

It seems many of us have the FA built guns, even down to the mini-revolvers, heck I even have several of the NAA minis based on his designs. Earlier creations and the drum fed .22 machine gun are harder to find. A late friend lucked into on3 of the folding trigger jobs in an auction and when he passed it was left to our long time friend and doctor, fabulous piece

A friend of mine here in town has one of the 38 Casull's & it's a shooter. What I noticed the first time we shot one of them in Afton, Wyoming where Dick had a small shop was the power of the main spring, it was amazing! Also, if I remember correctly the bullets were actually 9mm. The guy in the shop was loading ammo & took us out back to a wood pile & handed us the gun, we were actually in town (edge of town) & shot it quite a bit & my buddy ordered one through an Idaho Falls store the next day. We went to Dick Casull's house twice & he was an amazing man, loved to ride his horses & at that time I think he rode almost every day. Showed me & my gunsmith son some incredible guns, some were one of a kind. It was almost like meeting John Browning, he was very, very smart.

Not trying to Hijack a thread, but it seems to me the 38 Casull would be a close match to the 357 Sig?
