I just got my Guns & Ammo magazine today and the cover features both a 1911 and a SAA style revolver by Standard Manufacturing. I had heard that SM had purchased the tooling from USFA and that they were going to bring out a SAA style revolver but this is the first I have seen pictures of one that was actually shot for the article. I may have to add one to the stable to join the USFA guns if they ever offer a bisley spurred hammer option.

I feel like I’ve heard this story before ... I’m optimistic if it made the cover but I’ll temper my excitement until I see one on a shelf.

Ain’t on their website either. Even has a “what’s new” section and there was no mention there. Time will tell!

They showed the guns at ShotShow, but, as mentioned, nothing on the store shelves yet! Any talk of price points?

The article states $1600 to start and $400 more for engraving.

Handled them all at the last two NRA shows and was heartily impressed. Interested to see if they actually make it to production.

Please keep checking back for a release date." Beautiful polishing, bluing, color case hardening, walnut grips and fit. If this top quality US made revolver makes it to production, will they be shot or be safe queens? THAT will be entirely up to the owner.. If I ever own one, it will certainly get used.. |

Many said that about the USFA revolvers but it seems I see a much higher percentage of NIB USFAs than used ones either for sale or in collections.
