Took Isaiah to the range Friday and let him shoot my OMM Colt 38 for warm up. Then let him shoot his first six in the Mountain Revolver Karl Sokol rebuilt and tuned. This only the second time that Isaiah has fired a handgun. He's 21 years of age thought it was about time. Distance 12 yds, 215 wadcutter from Matts and 6.0 of Unique in a Special case.  |

Would like to hear of one of his high country fishing trips someday. I remember the pretty trout water I saw on the east side of the divide up in the Bob years ago. Guessing the man is fishing farther north and west slope ?

Yes, he's a level headed, hard working young man. He wants to get up in the Frank Church wilderness area, that's only an hour and a half drive from our place, to a jumping off point. We're in Idaho but would love to see some of the Bob in Montana.

Coincidence..New NRA Hunter magazine here. Article on the Frank Church area, River of No Return and such. Focus on a bear hunt. The Mtn Revolver given to Grandson for critter protection in the back country, Yes ? Cool beans.

Groo I had that Mountain Revolver rebuilt by Karl Sokol for him. Just added a set of Herrett's Jordan Troopers for him as his hand and fingers are long. I have a medium size hand and put Hogues on mine. New grips and the gun is really his. I am going to teach him to reload because he wants to learn and ultimately some nice leather.
