Some of the Ruger #1s are getting hard to find. So, this time I added one in 9.3x63mm. I love the metrics and this one was right.
NIB and priced about 55% of MSRP. Now I understand we never expect to pay MSRP. But, this was just too good to pass.
Beautiful wood as best I could tell from the pictures. I already have the 9.3x74R, so this was a no brainer.
Any other fans of the obscure metrics out there?

For sure, a 9.3x62 in a CZ 550 FS, it’s a pretty short handy rifle, would like one in a #1 someday if the opportunity arises. If the 7x57 counts, then yes again. A number of years back I stumbled onto a #1 RSI in 7x57, that is about as tiny and sleek as they come, I love the feel of this thing, it’s a joy to carry.

I have a few metrics. A W.R. Pape 256 Mannlicher (6.5x53R), Mannlicher Schoenauer 1908 in 8x56 and a Husqvarna 46 in 9.3x57. They’re a lot of fun and never fail to elicit interest at the range.

With a 250gn Accubond (which they made a run of recently by the way) is a real killer in the 9.3 and has a nice high BC. Shoot it out of my 9.3x74R and 9.3x62 also.... Big medicine on elk.

I’m a big fan of the 9.3x74r. I like the low pressure, thin barrel guns. I am particularly fond of the “plunk” when you drop a 3” case into the chamber.

Most all my metrics are in Milsurp Rifles... 6.5 Japanese Arisaka, 6.5 Italian Carcano, 7mm Mauser, 7.62 X 39, & 7.62 X 54 Russian, 7.5 X 55 Swiss, 8 X 57 Mauser but I do have a few custom cartridges I don't remember off the top of my head ( like the metric designation for 30-30 that is stamped on my custom Kyber Pass martini "replica" )

I have a 9.3x62 in a CZ 550 FS, and a 6.5x55 in a CZ 550 American. Love these cartridges! Could probably just about hunt anything in NA with those two when properly handloaded.

Yep, big fan of the metrics. Don't have a 62 at the moment but do have a No.1 in the 74R. Have the new 77 Hawkeye in 6.5 Swede and a No.1 in .275 Rigby (7x57). My best shooter of any sporter of any cal I have ever owned is a CZ 550 Lux in 7x64, basically a metric .280 Rem. I shot my smallest ever 4 shot group with this rifle. Plus various mil rifles. Some time ago I had a Ruger 77 in the 62 but it had ignition issues and when after sending it back to Ruger with no real improvement I dumped it. Some chamber dimension issue in my opinion. Have been reluctant to get a No.1 in this cal for that reason.

Have left hand Zastava mod 70 in 9.3x62 that I shoot cast out of. A NOE 368-286 at 2100fps kills just fine.

Sure some fine ones mentioned on this thread.
I have metrics in 6.5x54, 6.5x55, 7x57, 7.62x39, 8x57, 9.3x57, 9.3x62 and 9.3x74R.
They sure are fun to work with and useful to boot.
