I do like the serious businesslike look of black on stainless.

Zane did Black Micartas on my .480 Bisley as well. Highly recommended.
I have a couple other tricks working that I’ll let out of the bag soon enough...

Looks good! I have shot some pistols with grips that look similar and used to have the coke bottle grips on a couple of pistols. You should "feel" less recoil. The look is similar to John Linebaugh grips. ( shape that is ) I liked them because the hand ends up in the same position every time.

Now my question is this,,, Does this make you want to take it sheep hunting for sure? Charles Ya, the fatter grips with palm swell made a huge difference in handling recoil on my 500L. Sheep Hunting. So I sent this off to Zane this winter looking forward to having it for sheep hunting this august and in the meantime I got a deal on an FA 454. Now I have a "problem" Which one to take! I've packed this Hunter on 2 sheep hunts and would like to think "third time is a charm" but man, that FA is sweet and so darn accurate. I'll shoot em both this summer and make a decision. My hunting partner this year will probaly be packin one of his Freedoms so if I pack mine it could be The Freedom Hunt. Has a nice ring to it but so does "a 45 Colt ram"

The curves on that look awesome. Very much like Linebaugh grips.
I definitely need to send some frames and lumber his way.

obviously the answer to your problem is to duel wield them. I bet Doc can make you a double shoulder rig for them.

Snyd, Over the years I`ve found that hand filling grips on my hunting handguns have made things much better especially with heavier hunting handloads... The palm swell goes far in making them nicer to shoot. The pair on your Ruger look perfect.....

Something else I’ve noticed is that my hands tend to polish or make smoother, micarta over time in handling and shooting. A coworker, knife maker brought in a blade the other day with bead blasted micarta, and a light went of in my head. It’s smooth but tactile enough to allow a good grip on a heavy recoiling revo, I’m thinking of having my set of black micarta on my 500L beadblasted!!!
