Is that a real world price on the secondary market?!?

NO
I've been buying and selling in this world for a while now and unless you can convince your better half to spend "her money" I can't see it.
Now, that being said, there have been times that I really wanted a gun and paid more than I thought I should but 25% above what a new one would cost AND for the time being still available I sure wouldn't pay it for that gun.
Lots of folks don't dabble around here or on the Ruger Forum and don't know better....

That one will be there awhile before it ever finds a new home for sure. IF and when I decide to rehome my brass bisley 475 by John I think I might just list it on an auction site at a reasonable starting price and let the market see what it is worth.

It looks like he pulled the price off his website (or I'm missing it). Wasn't it $7500 on your base gun for that build? Now it just says POR but that's unclear if it's for the cased set or just the brass bisley gun.

Doesn’t John usually install a Bowen rear sight? That one looks like the factory rear.

Mar, it's not standard. Factory rear and 1/10 wide front.

I believe the Bowen sights were pretty much unavailable when this gun was made.

Also, stainless hammer and that's an unusual sight for John- screwed on No5 style.

Robb, I’m sure glad people on this board point out sows ears that have intrinsic value like a brass Bisley grip frame.
Thanks Robb.

Ironically the same favor was made to me by a member late last year. The result is another brass bisley grip frame living in the parts box just waiting to be put back to life.

Don't feel bad Snyd, at that price I doubt that it will be shipped anywhere.
