Bought a Kimber K6s about 10 days ago. 683 dollars OTD brand new. Been sitting on the shelf for a year. 3 dot sights and blue rubber grips and a 2" barrel. Been shooting 357s in it without a glitch or hangup. 357s are the SB 135 grain Gold Dot and over the screens at 10ft they are doing 1167fps. POI/POA is the same but the three dot system are designed for up close and personal, fast shooting DA work. Dings 10X8 inch steel plates upon demand out to 50ft easily. 357s are going to require a better grip than the rubber boot grip. Sights right on. Going to try to post a couple of pics using imgur, we'll see how that goes. Ambient temp on range days, been out twice has hovered between 15- 18 degrees. I'm too dumb to put pics in this thread! imgur.com/u4QBWJaimgur.com/jmTy00AWhat am I doing wrong?

They are about as custom as you can get from a store-bought gun. No sharp surfaces, custom sights, melted metal surface and a superslick action that works with 357s. everytime. I like this gun more everytime I pick it up. A few more rounds down range and I will start carrying it.

I got to handle one of those the other day, and I have to admit I was impressed.

Here is my wife’s. She ditched the rubber grip shortly after purchase. Great little gun.

MK77ss: Great looking piece. Are the grips Altamont? I'm thinking about picking up a set of their Altai models for the K6s i.imgur.com/jmTy00A.jpg

Looks like it may sting with some 158gr full power loads. But you can shoot a heck of a lot of softer ones until you need to carry.

I'm too dumb to put pics in this thread! What am I doing wrong? Nice gun. Got to handle one and was impressed. As for photos with Imgur You need to select the photo you've uploaded. There should be a list of codes in the right margin starting with "image link", then "direct link", "HTML", etc You're need to cut and paste (past into the body of the thread you're typing) the one labeled "BBCode (message boards & forums)" BUT first BEFORE you cut and paste that code into the body of a thread, you need to go all the way down to that right margin of codes to where it says " Sizes: Original · Small Square · Big Square · Small Thumbnail · Medium Thumbnail · Large Thumbnail · Huge Thumbnail" Click Medium or Large thumbnail first. I usually stick with Large. Doing so alters the code of the "BBCode (message boards & forums)" before you cut and paste it into the body of a text. If you don't alter it will likely be a massive file which will crush the view-ability of the thread. Same if you choose "Huge Thumbnail" So recap: 1) choose the photo 2) click on medium or large thumbnail at the bottom (you can also hit preview before posting a forum thread/post to see what size you get and if it's big enough for the body of the text) 3) cut/copy the code in the "BBCode (message boards & forums)" 4) paste into thread 5) submit post (or preview first before publishing)

These two are my favorite snubbies and the K6s wins in fit, finish, action and carryability. The WC SP has just returned from a return engagement in NH for regulation of endshake and a new pawl. It now shoots 357s without a hitch. It is also sporting a new Novak's front night sight. Snubbie shopping has depleted the old vacation fund. Backyard BBQs this year and bring your own burgers!

Is there any benefit with the hexagon cylinder or just cosmetic? It’s similar to the Chiappia but actually attractive as a whole.

I just bought a K6 , 2”, DC model two weeks ago. In that time, W.D. Whitefield in Texas has already made and sent me a most excellent OWB holster, and it disappeared on my belt under an untucked shirt all day today at work. This gun is a delight to hold, look at, and shoot. I’m already wanting the 3”.

Sierra, all I know the flats on the cylinder accomplish is make the gun not quite as wide. Doesn't seem to impair function as the K6 shoots magnum of several varieties without stuttering or choking or binding. The gun is "melted" and the more you handle it the smoother and "handier" it feels. One thing I like about it is it shoots to POA. The Smith 640 Pro always shot low, way low with everything except 158 grain 357s, and of course the K6 has 6 rounds.
I looked at the Whitefield holsters and they appear to be well thought out, and good craftsmanship, would order one except I'm finding my old Colt DS rigs work well. Ordered an Altai grip from Altamonts for the K6 and it should give more control with 357s. Colt DS/ HKS speedloaders work with the K6 but I need to practice a bunch as the fit is tight and under stress I'm going to need that muscle memory.
