Consensus is that's a Horvath gun.
Based on what it sounds like you've been looking for, that might be a good gun for you. I've considered it as a base for further custom work, but other irons in the fire. Shoot it as-is or make it your own with tweaking and refinish work.
Figure stags are worth $250ish, the gun alone isn't that much more than the value of the base gun.
It's been for sale a while, so skip the BIN and just bid before the auction closes.

It's a mid frame sized gun with that serial number. It's a nice looking one!

If there is a small machined oval on the side where the caliber is stamped 44 then it most likely by Andy. The base pin is his style as well.

Thanks for the assitance, it’s not exactly what I want but I do like the grips and then I figured it would be easy enough to cut/replace the barrel down to a length I like and the other work should be already done.
Thanks Trevor

I believe it’s a new model flattop with an OM 7 1/2” barrel and a SBH hammer. I concur it is in the Horvath style. My guess is it is his. No remark Robb in the oval as it didn’t change calibers.

What am I missing? It looks to me like a beat up mid frame 44spl that had a longer barrel and a couple other aftermarket parts installed. My Bisley 41 I've been dragging around the woods for 30 years looks better. What indicates this a a Horvath gun?
