Nice snag! And at a very good price for that caliber. You know if I'd seen that first it'd be coming to Texas. I hope this one is a shooter for you. Congrats.
If you ever get tired of it, you know who to call!

Amazing how a little change in side material can change the look of a gun. I’ve never had a lo-wall, just hi-wall B-78 rifles.

The last .260 low wall I had wouldn't shoot for snot....might as well have been throwing rocks.
These guns are twisted too slow at 1 in 10". Should be at least 1:9"......
I hope this one is better.......
I've had them in every caliber they've made in these guns and only a .22 hornet and a .223 live here now.
Same with the B78s. I think we've been down this road before.
The B78s I've not had and could absolutely kick myself for not buying when they were re-introduced a couple years back were ones in .270 Win and .300 Win. They would make great long range rifled due to the weight without being unwieldy as the barrel seems shorter due to the falling block action.
I've been looking for years for a .300 and can't find one.
Good thing I have both calibers in my trusty German Handi-Rifle.....My Blaser K95.

Why would they put a 1 in 10 twist in it. It should be a 1 in 8. Then you could run up to 1.4" bullet length. That's why I went with the 6.5 Creedmoor. They fixed the 260s troubles. But, the Creed probably isn't available in the Low Wall. Nice looking rifle tho !

If I can get a 100gn Ballistic tip to shoot at 3250 fps or so it will be a goat killer...... It should shoot those with the slow twist. Never tried them with the 1st one I had.... Now, if you want a 6.5 Creedmoor Winchester currently has a high wall offered with a 28" barrel and I KNOW you could get some velocity out of that sucker.....

I’ve been looking at those hi wall 6.5’s with the long barrel. I think it’s a really pretty gun.

For the foreseeable future my new gun money is tied up. Sadly . I'm still waiting for Ruger to come out with the GunSight Scout in Stainless and 6.5 Creedmoor. They came out with it in blued. But I want it in stainless laminate or synthetic. PERFECT skiff gun !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Run 130 gr Sirocco 2s @ 2775-2800 fps with a 2-10 Vortex Viper PST ll mil mil. What a dream gun ! My idea of one anyway. But if a guys not going to be on salt water. It opens up Lots of options! Sorry for the derail. I used to hunt with #1s quite a bit , I often thot I would prefer the Hi Wall with its exposed hammer.

There are a couple of them on GB right now. When it comes time to spend money, it would be a hard choice.

Think you can wring the extra +/- 200fps out of the 6.5 with that 28" barrel to bring it up to .260 velocities?
I bet it could be close and for long range the weight of the high wall would be sweet....

I think if you slow the powder down you can get the 200 fps. It would be a fun experience as most every Creedmoor is 22” or less. It’s the prettiest Creedmoor out there.
