SHOT 2018 opened the door and Colt's drug me back in!!! Have you seen the Colt Night Cobra everything an old gum shoe like me could ever hope for in a CC revolver. Mama's vacation to Aruba will unfortunately be delayed again.
I am photo illiterate on this forum so you'll just have to google it!

Been retired since 03 but still gravitate to those snubbies!

I carry a snubby every day. Usually a Ruger SP101 .357. And my wife carries the Kimber K6s .357 snub.

mk70ss: Love snubbies, have a Wiley Clapp SP enroute to my home at this present time Fed EX says it will arrive at FFL on Friday. Got the "belly gun" bug, been carrying an SP 357 3" but I wanted the sights and shorter barrel of the Wiley model. Probably locate a spurless hammer for the WC and have it fitted. Old School rules state all snubbies must operate DA and DA only out to 25 yds. I actually shoot better groups in DA mode than SA. For me DA requires more attention to the front sight and better trigger control. As a young copper in 1970 we were not allowed to shoot SA on the range until we reached the 50 yd line and 12 rounds SA were permitted not encouraged.
The K6s or the Night Cobra is a tossup for me as I would run the BB 158gr LSWCHP +P in either weapon.

Another year and another snubbie. Yay! Would have have liked to see something with a longer barrel and in different calibers, possibly a contender to the M8/TRR8 if they want to make a defense “black gun” ”Load-out of features” = DLC and different grips? Not impressed. If I carried the K6 would still get my money first.

Had to have another look at this, I hope it shoots well and stays in the catalog for a long time.

Yet to see one, but I'm with you Mr. Sutter. Want this one to do real well. My SP Wiley Clapp model 357 is now a great shooter and I have put enough rounds through it to have confidence in it but the Night Cobra just screams "Old School Gat" with all the modern upgrades!

$900 for a basic snubby when I can get a pristine Detective Special $200- $300 less? Pass.

I'm not a craftsman nor a gunsmith by any stretch of the imagination. The Colt Night Cobra is how I like my snubbies set up. 899 is MSRP won't be the street price. Probably about 150 less. I just sold a Colt DS 3rd issue, for 700 as I didn't want to cut it up to make a Night Cobra. I will have one.
