***** This B-Square clamp-on for the DWA rib is much simpler than the Rube Goldberg unit I tried. Looks worth a try; the long clamp, with Weaver-type ring compatibility. David Bradshaw

oregon45 and magnum wheelman.... as it is machined from steel, the Burris clamp-on base & rings must considerably outweigh the B-Square. My experience with the B-Square was its first foray into a mount for the Dan Wesson. While the dual clamp base with cantilever-sale tabs for B-Square rings pried at the rib on the M-44 ,44 Mag, it might not bother on the M-40 .357 Maximum. My one experience soured me on trying it again. I counted it a failed design; Reckon Dan Bechtel of B-Square recognized this and designed the one piece base. David Bradshaw

Three different type scope mounts for Dan Wesson`s..The top two are by Leupold and are no drill/tap type while the bottom is a three screw Weaver I picked up on ebay. Also found the middle mount recently on ebay.. The top one piece ring/base I bought when I picked up my 744.... Every so often a DW scope mount comes up for sale on ebay....I`ve used the top system on a number of hunts with my 744 and it has worked.....
