www.garrettcartridges.com/25044.htmlGarrett has been working on getting the 250 Hammerhead out in .44 Special for some time, and it's also available in .44 Mag now that the .44 Special load has come to fruition. I think it's pretty cool that this kind of penetration is doable from a 4 3/4" SAA in .44 Special now.

Pretty neat ! I haven't tried shooting jugs yet. Do have Penn's 245gr TH and some 268 gr LFN-like bullets I've tried in search of most penetration for my 3" Bulldog. The NM Vaq Sheriff could handle a bit more but don't want to get loads mixed and damage the little Charter Arms piece. An old friend.

Oh, and don't know if anything , amazing, was achieved. Sooo much experimentation has been done with the 44spec over many years. A good thing for non-reloaders that have picked up a 44spec recently, for sure. Thanks.

Never shot jugs?, how do you cooked? You should try it. They're self marinating.

We used to put gallon ziplock bags in a wooden trough to test carry ammo, loads. The only gallon jugs we go thru regularly around here are from Juicy Juice. Guess they'd be fine to use too. Note to self, start saving them ! I think the most unique, out there, load from Garrett is their 405gr 45 Colt loading. Pretty much meant for RH/SRH's. I have wondered what THE optimum bullet weight for the 44spec would be with penetration the goal. Why I have the 268gr LFN-like Copper-ized bullets here.
