Dang! Just settling into the Colt magazine idea and direct impingment 9mm carbines come to the surface. Stag Arms makes one too.. The colt mag is a good one as well, they feed great and they are not overly expensive. I think that the stag 9mm is a blowback??? I only know of one company that builds DI 9mm guns and that is RMW XTREME Ron will build you what you want or set it up with what ever parts you prefer. They are also an SOT/Class 3 dealer if you want an NFA regulated item. I currently have a 10.5" barreled DI 9mm from RMW and it runs great and is very accurate, my lower is a Glock lower. I also have an MGI Hydra but don't have the colt magwell for it yet, but may pick it up after the first of the year. Ron is currently building me a 5" suppressed upper along the lines of the MP5SD. I should pick it up in a few weeks I hope. I will tell you that the DI 9mm is at it's best if you handload and taylor the load to the gun, it will run on factory ammo but factory ammo is very dirty and after a couple of mags will need to be cleaned to keep it running 100%. The reason is because the gas port is right up on the chamber to get enough pressure to run the gun. But I use several powders and can run 600 or so rounds before needing to do a quick cleaning and lubing.

The whole thing is getting more complicated every day... Good thing I'm retired and have a lot of time to research it. The DI gun's need for handloaded ammo is a significant drawback when my biggest draw to the 9mm in the first place is the cheap off the shelf ammo.

Unless you just want an AR based PCC, check out the CZ Scorpion pistol with a brace. I SBR'd mine before the recent clarification on the arm braces... It is one of my favorite guns to shoot!

That's sweet Kraig! Are you running the Micro K set up from HBI? I picked up my Scorpion yesterday and instead of SBR'ing it, I installed the Yeti Wurks folding brace with Tailhook.

Yes, it's a HBI micro/k handguard. I had the barrel cut to 4.5" and a HK 3-lug suppressor mount installed. It's a neat little package and really fun to shoot - especially suppressed. Had the ATF correctly conceded from the beginning that shouldering a brace doesn't change a pistol into an SBR, I may not have SBR'd it. I have a Tailhook Mod 2 on an AR pistol and it is a nice setup.

I do like staying with the AR platorm for common parts... But I will look harder at the CZ product.

Yes, it's a HBI micro/k handguard. I had the barrel cut to 4.5" and a HK 3-lug suppressor mount installed. Thanks, I thought that's what it looked like. I'm on the wait list for when they come back in stock but I found out last night it will fit my backpack as-is. Now I have to decide if I still want to go that route or just install the 3-lug adapter and re-allocate the rest of the fun money to a different optic.

Groo here I have an aero rifle in 10mm. It can be converted to 9mm 357sig 40 S&W and 45acp. Also look at the new Ruger takedown .

Axe, if you want a AR based PCC in 10mm or .45ACP look at Macon Armory. Blowback and Direct Impingment models 10mm uses Glock Mags. 45ACP can be built with Grease Gun Mags. or a really nice 25rnd mag. designed and produced by the owner. Shot the listed guns recently when I was passing thru Macon, Ga. Nice guy and impressive work. My personal 9mm PCC is a older Colt with a A1 upper with some upgraded parts. My prefered choice for any AR is Colt Receivers, internals and barrels. They are the GI proof, so that tells you how I feel about quality. Really not interested in any "Boutique" brand internet guns.
