yep, them long waits, become very questionable as to the use after a while. What goes on in my head anymore is when it gets done, hell will able to see good enough to be worthy of using it? I wish I was younger I would love to acquire a 44 Mag Super Redhawk Alaskan and send it off to Bowen fer a bore job and shave conversion to a 4" 45 colt, but by then my grandson may be the only one capable of enjoying it,,,,,, but thats ok, I'd enjoy that too! That GP conversion sound like a worthy conversion to wait fer, remember, absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Hopefully I’ll be able to see the sights and heft the revolver when it’s done! Lol creeping closer just ordered from Davidson’s a Talo six inch unfluted gp-100 in stainless. I really wanted a 4 inch but I love the unfluted cylinder! Dave can the barrel down ,but hey what’s wrong with a six inch.

My goodness just picked up my Talo gp-100 and it’s a beaut! I have not had a double action revolver in over 30 years! I bought a set of rubber with rosewood grips from Ruger thinking that the wood finger groove grips may or may not Fit my hand . Wood feels pretty good . Now off to Mr. Clements!

I hear ya! Best part was I have not bought a new revolver in a while. I’ve been sending the ones I have for conversions and plain old customizing. Shipping from ups has been in the 100 buck plus range . This last gun was a Davidson’s exclusive from a dealer I have not used before . They quoted me 75 bucks to box and ship! Now there’s a early Christmas present!

Pkg going out tomorrow. Thinking hard of slab siding the barrel. I like the look on 3-4 inch guns on Clements website but don’t know how it would look on a 6”. Anybody got a pic! Merry Christmas!

I sent him my 686 approx 15 years ago, when he still did S&Ws and I have never regretted it. You will be pleased and proud. I hope you enjoy it for many years..............

Well it took a little longer to go out ,but it’s on it’s way as of this morning to Mr. Clements! Final work order reads conversion to 41 special ,slab side barrel ,action job and Bowen Target rear sight. I also went with the brushed satin finish. Feeling warm and fuzzy right now!
