At this point it is a wildcat. Sadly. It is a 375 Ruger necked down with a 338 RCM sizing die. There are other 338 Wildcats on the 375 Ruger case. But that one is the simplest . And absolutely useful. Pretty much duplicates the performance of the 340 Whby. But in a standard action size. A guy over on 24 Hour Campfire came up with it and built rifles for it. Ran the reamer in a 338 Win Mag and there ya have er. For my purpose it would let me run 275 + 300 gr bullets at the more useful velocities. Without a lot of action work. I like the 338 Win Mag. But heavy bullets end up with major extreme spread if trying to get 2500 fps. I really like the 275 gr Swift A Frame for hunting . the Campfire would give 2700+ fps from a 24" barrel with less than max pressure.

I love the concept of it, I think if Ruger bought into the idea it would make for a real nice line of rifles in standard bolt lengths. I love the 375 Ruger I have, thought/thinking about getting a 416 as well just to have it.
