Does anyone know if there are any gunsmiths that will shorten the barrel on these? I want a 4" to carry in the woods but don't want the muzzle brake. I was thinking about asking jack Huntington to see if he would. I was just curious if anyone had tried it before.
Thanks

Wes Daems of 7x leather had some solid muzzle brakes made up. See if he still has some.

S&W made a solid "brake" for the 460, but they are very hard to find. This would have to be bore out for the 500

The barrel has to be shortened from rear, rethreaded and new forcing cone cut and then cut shroud from the front. I did this once for myself, but being an old toolmaker with fully equipped machine shop makes a huge difference. JRH might consider doing it for you.

Just spoke with John Ross, he's got about two hundred left. All stainless and the two tone.
