The gun looks great and with that fifty yard shooting the bullets should be pretty close at a hundred. I would say you have a perfect hiking in the bear woods gun. The only bears around here are stories of someone saw one over at the ....... I feel I'm well prepared for the stray Cape Buffalo that shows up at the private range I shoot at. Thank goodness they grow smaller in South Carolina. To be honest, I didn't have it built with anything in mind other than to get rid of the awful Vaquero front sight. That was accomplished and I'll enjoy it for what it turned out to be. It is funny now that I think on it as the front sight on this revolver is what made me start posting here. Now I'm out many many thousands of dollars from all of the other toys. Thanks for the compliments, but they really go to David Clements and Co and Scott Kolar.

I thought those were shot shells at first, did you coat those?

Yep, powder coated. I have individual containers with a preferred color and clear (the clear gives a better coat but I like color too). It gives them a speckled coloring as the colors don't really mix even though they seem too in the containers, but I get great coverage.
I've gotten to where I PC every bullet I cast now as there is no down side to doing it other than the time. No smoke, no lube splatter in the cylinder frame, no degradation in accuracy, and no nasty revolver. That's my experience anyway.
However, the bullet in the picture hasn't worked out as far as accuracy is concerned though the WFN looks cool. I had a thread on it in "Reloading & Wildcats". That mold will be boxed up and either put on a shelf or sent down the road.

I have had a similar experience with the WFN bullets in the 45 Colt. The accuracy is not there. I started with them to have a 300 grain that would work in a FA 97. Never could get them to better than 2 inches at 10 yards and I am finding the same is true in my flattop convertible as well.

I've read that they want to be run fast to stabilize, or whatever, but fast or slow these bad boys haven't shot well in 3 different 45 Colts (FA83, Clements 45 in these pictures, and a Williams 45 Colt Bisley). The 3 revolvers mentioned shoot other LFN styles great however. I tend to learn stuff the hard way and in my defense (your Honors) I would not have chosen this mold myself. Hey, but they poke a hole in paper/cardboard like a wadcutter.....
