I've always stayed out of the Judge / Governor discussions, for the most part... but always secretly in the back of my mind, thought it would make a good truck gun ( not thinking self defense ) but more a anti skunk gun... was clipping through Gun Broker looking at XDM threaded barrel 45's, & caught sight of one of these 10th Anniversary 3" barreled Judges... pretty tasteful engraving... thinking that #4 or #6 shot would be effective for skunks on the driveway... have you guys seen one of these yet??? thoughts??? www.gunbroker.com/item/717856450

Not a fan of shotshell load for skunk. A 22mag HP behind the ear means little to no spray. Or I've been lucky 3-4 times ? Friend used 20 ga years ago, got hosed, skunk did die, but.. good luck.

most of the time I see skunks, they are in the road ditch, or along our long driveway, & at night... so I'm juggling a flashlight & a CCW gun... once I shine them, they know something is up, & are trying to head into the corn field as fast as they can go... thinking shot might be a better way to go...

Had an interesting skunk experience a few months ago.
Went to visit a friend & drove past a dead skunk in the road. Fairly fresh road kill. Strong aroma!
As I was visiting, we noticed the resident buzzards circling & diving onto the road.
I left about an hour later & drove back the way I came.
Skunk remains were gone. So was the aroma.
What the hell kinda creature thinks a nasty road kill skunk makes a yummy lunch?

those things can eat nearly anything... & not to sound anti American or anything, but Bald Eagles are just as much a scavenger... MRS shot a Raccoon out of one of the trees in the front yard, that outside doggie had treed the night before... I was in work mode, so I didn't get it out of the yard for a couple days... a big mature Bald Eagle was on it, before I got to it... 20ft from our house... MRS was pretty worried about letting the little house dogs outside in their run, that was 20 ft from the coon carcass...

We got two of the 10th Anniversary Judge resolvers in on Monday. Still have one in the case, but t'other didn't last two hours.
My experience with .410 in handguns is limited to Contender. Good for giggles, and might be handy for snakes, but I'm inclined to think I'd want a bit more oomph for a skunk. Not that they are that durable, I just prefer more of a note of finality.....

Wild west guns will make a barrel extension that make the shot shells work.Think it was about six inches and spendy with little resale value but it did give better accuracy in both 45colt and .410 shot

Let's not get into skunk tales. I do nuisance wildlife control for a living. And no,,, I've never been sprayed. And I do catch my fair share of skunks annually. Relocation of them is not allowed either.
