It’s been listed on many sites for at least a couple of months. The price has never adjusted. It is cheaper than doing it yourself and there is no wait but it has not moved at the current price.

Probably a great gun and if the guy had it built recently, is probably taking a bit of a shellacking on the deal if he sells it for that amount. I think, like Greg and Tim said, if it were; unplated, either blued or stainless, and also didn't have the extra holes in the barrel, and were chambered in 500 Linebaugh it would have sold in a heartbeat at that price. For that money, you could get a lightly used, super nice single action custom if your in the right place at the right time. For a lot less money you could buy a 44 mag or 45 colt redhawk and come very close to doing what that gun could do. If you like the gun, and it's as represented, it appears to be a good deal.

Personally I like it. That's one sweet Redhawk with the full Bowen treatment. I'm not in the market for a 475 but if I was I'd want that custom Bowen barrel with the integrated brake. It's not just a few holes drilled in the barrel. Full on custom designed and machined by Bowen. I'd like to have one of those barrels on my 454 Redhawk. But.....$$$ so I'll stick with what I've got for now. Optional muzzle brake (cat. no. RD08MB) is a chambered style with a restrictor plate, all machined integral to the barrel. Unobtrusive and effective, the brake is especially recommended for the .475 and .500 Linebaugh chamberings.Pics from Bowens website

The hard Chrome is a great addition to a blued steel revolver. I actually prefer the hard chrome blue steel to a stainless revolver as they are smoother in operation in my experience.

Nothing wrong with that one, I'd rather have this one.

Tell us about the top one. That 500 makes my heart go pitter-patter. That's the one you're gonna let me know if you need to move it right?

Provided it's me sending the 500 down the road and not my wife or kids, yes, you get right of first refusal The top gun started off in Bowen's hands as a blued Redhawk in 44 magnum. The barrel was rebored to 45 caliber, by Labounty I presume, and the cylinder was rebored to 45 Colt. The real trick work is the top strap which was welded up and filed into the shape of an early S&W hand ejector. The barrel was recontoured losing most of the the rib in the process, leaving just a bit to be turned into the base for a drift adjustable front sight. Basically a S&W 1917 that will handle 325's at 1400+FPS, though it seems to be regulated for a 300 at 1200. Was finished off with a trigger overtravel screw, black powder cylinder chamfer, Eagle Ultra Ivory grips, and some of the nicest hot bluing I've seen. Not the most practical of Redhawks, but a nice example of the gunmakers art.
