I'll stick with my 5" S&W 610 no dash.

A lot of talk on different sites is saying how good a 10mm is for hunting. Then you add the video of Razor Dobbs taking a cape buff with his DW 10mm and that sealed it... Some of these guys are saying "if Razor took a Cape buff with his 10mm then I can take anything"...To me, that can be dangerous thinking... Sorta like saying a 147gr 9mm is good for brown bear

I think the standard Redhawk would've been better, but in the GP100, it probably would be a 5-shot. If Memory serves, Gary Reeder does a GP-100 10mm and it's a 5-shot I have a David Clements GP100 10mm conversion and it is a 6 shot

I sent a GP100 to David Clements a while back to convert to 10mm. It's a 6 inch blued model. That will be good enough for me.

Be interested in Whitworth's opinion…
I took mine out today for the first time, and, of course given the weight, it was a sweetheart to shoot. I was running 180-gr ARMSCOR ball on my plates, which includes a cowboy action shooting buffalo at 40 yards, a 6-inch plate at 45 yards and a 12-inch plate at 50 yards. It was boringly easy to smack the plates, even with iron sights. I'm waiting for set of rings from Midway USA to put an Ultradot on it, and I think that should allow me to push it out a bit.
Next week I'll take it out and group it with some DoubleTap hunting ammo and see what we shall see.
Planning on doing a SHOOTING GALLERY episode on the "Bizarre Resurrection of the 10mm" in early January.
BTW, the SG episode we filmed with Max at FTW Ranch was big, big fun!

Just anther way to get our money... In this case your money. Read the book... Passed on the movie. Doesn't make it right or wrong. Make your choice and spend your money.

I handled one at Cabela's that came in the day after a guy bought it at another shop. That 1-inch shorter barrel, not a bull barrel like my 480 7-1/2", actually looks smaller somehow.
Start making the SRH and/or Alaskan in 5" barreled models and I'd be all over those.
