KRal, those are gorgeous. If mine turn out even half that nice I will be a happy man. Beautiful work Zane.
KRal, who did the polish work on your gun?

Looking at your revo KRal, makes me think a set might be nice on my 10.5" 357max, recoil is not an issue so the slickness shouldn't be a hinderance or issue.
Thanks for posting, that's a purdy sixgun.

It may be slick if your hands are wet or oily, but under normal conditions it's not slick. Ram horn, when polished, has a tacky feel to it. Kinda like elephant ivory, if you've ever handled it. I get a much better tight grip with horn than I do with micarta or wood.

Good to know, I'll get my hands on some of Zanes sheep horn grips when I pick up my walnut. I really do like the looks of sheep horn.

Looks like my next rig -- whatever that may be -- will be fitted in rams horn thanks to this thread.
While it's been popular for a long time, and I've always lusted after it, but it seems ram horn in the "new ivory" in terms of animal derived stocks alongside exhibition walnut in the wood category, unless you can acquire some some premium bark sambar, which may not be conducive to a heavy kicker.
