I didn’t think they have ever been on their website. Maybe they are slow keeping the site up to date.

That's a thought. Over on the rugerforum a bit of Bulldog love going on.A thread on collectable Bulldogs or such. Along that vein, I'd guess the tiger striped one, maybe inspired by the Quinn boys, would be my choice.

tried some lyman 452423 swc from 1:20 tin/lead mix. shot decent at around 12-15 yds. mine shoots and little low. also tried some Remington factory(nickel case and their golden sabre) these shot fine but low also. best load so far has been the lee wadcutter 1:20 mix and 7 gr of unique. shoots 1.5" groups at 15 yds and right under the top of the front site. these bullets penetrated some wet phone books to around 9". probably going to smooth off the ridges on the trigger for better double action work. the pachmayr compact does wonders!

I’m really thinking about one of those 41 Mags. I’d just treat it like a .41 Special, I doubt I’d ever fire a Magnum in it.

I had a Taurus Ti Tracker in .41 Mag (a new dealer sample I bought for $299 and later consigned for the same price), and that's pretty much what I did with it after an initial shakedown.

My boss had one of the 4" Titanium Trackers in .41 Mag when they first came out and I loved that gun. I don't much trust Taurus guns but that was one I lusted after. My brother later had a 2 1/2"(?) Tracker in .45 Colt that cured me of any Taurus jealousy I may have harbored. To me, the .41 Special is the perfect round for those sized guns.

Having had a Blackhawk 4 5/8" in 41 mag many years ago, I can't imagine torching off a 220 gr bullet @ 1400 fps from something smaller and lighter. Probably similar to shooting a 329 with book loaded 240s. Not my idea of a good time.

Erich, what did you think of it? Shoot any full .41s out of it? I like the .41, but in a full size six-gun!

Hi Frank,
I did, and it worked fine with them. I ran STHPs, Federal hunting loads and some other JHP, as well as my regular 210-gr hardcast Magnum handloads before slowing it down. (I might have chrono data somewhere, in fact.) Typical appalling Taurus fitting had me worried, but it worked fine. I was always waiting for it to NOT work, though, so I was happy to eventually consign it and get all of my money back out of it.
Cheers, erich

Over on the Rugerforum, MUS408 has started a thread and shows nice pics of his new 45 Colt Bulldog. Am liking the pics of his bullet choice too. Tempted now. Not really wanting a new, another caliber here though. If the XL frame could be had in 44spec. ? I'd buy.
