Hi guys,
I really want to test some of these, and I understand that Cast Performance makes them now. That said, I refuse to order from them. The first, and last, time I ordered, they went over a month without shipping my bullets. Each time I inquired, I was told they were shipping "tomorrow.". I finally called my credit card for a refund when they refused to call me back after I left a voicemail. So is there anywhere else I can buy them? A reloading retailer maybe?

Yes, but Belt Mountain no longer produces them, Mike Rintoul does of Cast Performance. Belt Mountain is no longer in this picture. Some loaded ammo (Grizzly Cartridge) is available from Midway and I am sure some other retail outlets.
That said, they are spendy, and unless you are working up a load for big game, I don't know that I would spend the money. I found a couple of cast loads that had nearly the same POI to practice with. Far be it for me to tell you how you should spend your money, but no need to throw it away.

Hence why I want to reload rather than buy a box of the ammo.

Does anyone feel that their are other bullets with comparable performance to the Punch? Or are they in a class of their own?

They are in a class of their own but imho i would have to get to elephant level game before i needed them but based on weight/meplat size and toughnesd nothing will touch em. The busters are a good good bullet that has worked well on the biggest and toughest game as have the cebs but for target impact i doubt youll notice a big diff be them and any other flatnose bullet. Their magic happens when the impact bone and heavy hide. Hide like cape buff/hippo etc.

Have to call Grizzly and see. They're very busy and Mike may be stretched too thin but they are not dishonest or incompetent. Be patient.
I agree with Mark 100%. They have no peer but also have limited application.

I ordered some more yesterday. I agree that one just needs to be patient.

Respectfully, I didn't have an issue with a long wait. What I had an issue with was being told they were shipping the next day multiple times without them doing so. If I get told, "We're slammed so this could take 4-6 weeks," I'm fine waiting. But after being strung along with, "tomorrow" for four weeks, I had enough.
A local gunsmith took a long time with one of my 1911s, but I was never bothered about the time. Reason being was everytime I touched base he would tell me exactly what the hold up was and when he would hopefully be done. He was upfront about the reality of his time frames. No biggie.
I'm not trying to throw Mike under the bus or saying anything disparaging. Just saying my experience was not a positive one.

If you want Punch bullets, you place your order and they show up when they show up. They're not growing on trees and there are no other options. Unless you wan to order loaded ammo from a third party.
