%$%#%#@ 44 Special... Custom OM Rugers, NM FTs, S&W M69, Ruger GP100... I think I'll buy a Dillon SDB to dedicate to loading 44 Special..

I have nine 44 Special revolvers. I could understand that.

I finally gave up and converted my Dillon 650 to .44 Special.

It's the most loaded round here too.

Took a long time to get through my thick skull that the 44 Special truly is, special. My most loaded revolver cartridge also.

I have five .44 Special revolvers and to make matters worse, I have a range at my house!! So my turret press has .44 Special dies in it that haven't been removed in probably 5 years. I cast 429421 258 gr. SWC's in batches of 300, buy LP primers by the case, never have less than 3 lbs. of Unique AND 3 lbs. of AL20/28 (My two favorites for said caliber) and am sure that any day now my old 4 3/4" Uberti .44 Special is going to simply fall apart from the few thousand rounds I've put through her.

Have a baker dozen(maybe more) of the 44 Specials. It's a disease, but I like it.

I think I'll buy a Dillon SDB to dedicate to loading 44 Special.. This is the correct thing for you to do. I once purchased a 4" S&W 44 Mag. & the very first thing I did was order a SDB. I had only one load I used in the gun so when walking past the bench I might load a 100 or just a few. It was set up & all components at hand so there was nothing to do but load. Eight years later I sold the sixgun but still have the Dillon. The last couple years it is set up the same way only now in 45 ACP for my Blackhawk. Go for it..

nearly every .44 I've ever loaded has been on my dads SDB. sure makes things easy!

I use a Dillon 550 and swap tool heads between 44 Special and 44 Magnum. Pretty simple even for me!

So, what do you have against S&W M24s and 624s? They don't rate a mention?
Just pulling your chain!
