I currently load some 255 gr Keith style cast bullets from Missouri bullet company in .452, and cast some 300 gr myself using wheel weights and a Lee .452 mould. Both shoot well loaded at around 1100 fps with no leading problems. My question is, can you shoot .452 bullets in 200 or 230 gr that are usually used in 45ACP loads in the Casull? I like shooting the light loads and would like to explore some even lighter bullet weights if possible.

Of course you can, they might not have a crimp groove but at mid range velocities you should be fine with just a slight crimp or taper crimp.

I cast and shoot a 230gr bullet from an NOE mold in my Freedom Arms 454, the HP bullet at 1200 fps is a dandy varmint bullet.

Yup. Until recently I casted and loaded/shot a Lyman 200gr SWC in 45 Colt brass over 8.5-9gr unique. Slight crimp on the driving band using 45 Auto crimp die. Very accurate easy shooting load.
