I do have a not used pair of the VZ grips in the handgun grip que. Not un liked , just waiting for the right project. Impressions , Well made , should be lifetime tough . Not conventional looking but attractive. Only possible downside is they feel very unforgiving in the hand and the checkering is very aggressive. I think they would be great for a no nonsense carry gun.

I first purchased the Vz10s for a K frame round butt 66. Worked and felt great, so I ordered grips of the same material from Vz for N frame square and round butt.
Found them a little "small" on the N frame with Magnum loads. Great gripping and control on the K/L stuff but no fun shooting N frame magnums with them.
Have them on several K/Ls except my Model 69. Just use a standard Hogue round butt rubber grip on the 69. Ugly but helps me shoot well.

I'm curious why more grip makers don't use G10. It's tougher than micarta and seems to be more readily available in a variety of colors and layers.
Many of my heavy use knives sport G10 scales, and what they lack in pure beauty, they more than make up for in utility and durability.

I ordered a smooth pair, with the squared bottoms, for my L frame. I'm sorry I didn't get the textured ones.

Just attempted to download a smaller version of a Smith K frame with Vz grips but was told the site had exceeded its bandwith for attachments.
