I was looking at Skeeter's Dream Gun the other day (the one he fantasized from all production DA guns at the time) and I realized that the GP100 meets most if not all of his requirements. However, I have never seen a 5" half lug barrel. That configuration would be awesome. I wonder what it would cost to have a smith shorten a 6" full lug to a 5" short lug.

Its coming from Lipsey's in .44 Special with Roper-style grips.

Well, I was thinking about 357, but 44 Spcl would work. Thanks for the insight Mr. Taffin.

I have a blue, fixed sight 4" with the half-lug, and also a stainless, adjustable sight 6" with half-lug. Both wear Hogue wood grips, with NO finger grooves. Neither of one is what you describe exactly, but I'm still tempted to say neener-neener-neener! Forgive me..... Otony

Mine is blued but I desecrated it with a scope.

I would buy a .357 and a .44 if Ruger made these! I just posted on the .44 Special thread, but I am eagerly awaiting these....Roper style grips to boot is just icing on the cake.
