Gary Reeder has gone hunting in Tennessee and a little sale is going on at his place while he is gone.. Lots of TC barrels. The gun that caught my eye is a 41 GNR #2... This is built on a long cylinder gun... Cartridge is based in the 445 necked to 41... I am tempted. If it was a Bisley it would already be mine. Heck, for the listed price, if I wasn't broke, I'd buy it and change it... Shoot, I could call in the morning and buy it anyway... No, I don't care to read about how you don't like Reeder in this thread. Start your own. www.reedercustomguns.com/information/instock_images/wh.htm

Just a maximum frame and a five shot cylinder blank to go in it will eat up most of the purchase price of the finished gun.

I like it. We have a 510 Hunter and have been happy with it.

Usually on his packages the bisley adds $100.00 but being it's a sale I'm not sure if that applies, I bet Gary will work something out with you if you ask him when he gets back. The 41GNR is a great round for hunting, the 41GNR#2 will be all that and more velocity, somewhat like his 410GNR ballistically.
That's gun has a nice look to it and I like the elk engraving.

I saw that last night, a really nice Dubai night by the way, and just wondered what it offered over what we likely already own? Of course that leads to the age old "discussion" of need vs. want. I do not need or want this particular one. From one that believes we get all we need from a given bore diameter at 1100 - 1200 fps and trajectory really doesn't matter for the open sighted "mortar lobber".

Picture this gun with a stainless Bisley grip frame, Bisley hammer, Bisley trigger, and some CLC black micarta with black eagles!

Get rid of the engraving garbage and it wouldn't be bad. Not my choice of chambering though.
*notice nothing said about feelings about the man.

OK, I understand I cannot say asparigus remarks about Reeder but can I say something about big ugly toes?

Looks like a great gun. To bad another SRM Blackhawk maximum had to be sacrificed to build it!

Tempted WITH toes.... That is me... The ONLY thing holding me back is the 475 and 414 Short sitting down in Jasper. I am expecting John to call any day on the 475... Then I am looking for a 500L Reeder Alaskan Hunter soon.... ;D

Haha! Since when does need ever come into play? I can 100 percent rationalize "want!"
