I think we can shake hands and be friends if you can accept 'BOOLIT." [/quote]
I AM JUST ONE YEAR YOUNGER THAN YOU AND YES WE COULD SHAKE HANDS AND BE FRIENDS BUT NOT IF YOU INSIST I HAVE TO ACCEPT "BOOLIT". I HAVE LOTS OF FRIENDS OF EVERY COLOR AND POLITICAL PERSUASION. I DON'T PUT CONDITIONS ON FRIENDSHIP. WITH THAT I AM THROUGH WITH THREAD.

45Nut, I remember the old Shooters.com site, I was a member there for a while before it went under. Since then, I've been participating on the original Sixgunner.com and all its successors, including this one. I currently participate on half a dozen shooting forums and have enough posts on them to appear to have nothing better to do. In the 12yrs or so I've been on shooting forums, I never heard the term bullet spelled "boolit" until recently. Until your first post here I never heard it explained. So my point is that while your forum may be an every day thing for you, for many, it is completely foreign. So to anybody who is not familiar with your site and the origin of the spelling "boolit", it appears to be only a slang, cutesy nickname for bullet. You will have to pardon us for not being familiar with your little nickname and its origin and pardon me again for really not giving a damn. I've read the thread on your board and I have to say that YOU guys are extremely sensitive when someone says something about your cute little nickname being misspelled. The insults and trash-talking about Taffin prove what a horrible little group of cretins you guys are and I am proud to say that I will never join your group. Nor will I stage an invasion as your group has done here. If you guys are happy with your cute little nickname site, I suggest you stick to it.
Fact is, "boolit" is a completely made up word and you folks should not get so bent out of shape if someone outside of your little clique corrects your goofy misspelling.

How about you Bigmuddy or Axehandle? I see nothing from you at all but talk. Post the groups you shoot.
Well I could, but who would really care? I could post pics of groups, but who would know if I really shot them at the range I said I did? Again, who would care? I often shoot farther than the 25 yard distance that you seem to ridicule with every post.
My dad always told me "if you are good, you don't need to tell anyone".
Oh .... I DID shoot a group yesterday that measured .430 at 200 yards. I should have taken a pic of it. (It was just one shot though ;D )
And I too am done with this post and am mad at myself for getting sucked into it. No More!

Well I am new joining this site but I have been lurking as SixShot over at the Ruger forum turned me on to this site as I have been playing with a Ruger Super Blackhawk Bisley Hunter in .44 Mag.
And I will say what I have read most of the time has been very informative with some humor added as everyone needs humor in this sick world.
But I just have to say this thread has gone way out there over a word of which everyone knows what it means. There is no reason to break it down or try and break others down by the way they spell and or talk as most I have found do there best to convey information that may help others or that they may be able to gleam some good information to help them.
And one does have to remember that in all honesty ALL shooting sports or I should say people that seriously shoot which encompasses everything from hunting to targets or any form of the shooting hobby is small. And also sad to say growing smaller. Think about how many young people get into shooting. Much less Reloading. So as others have said we really need to stick together in all forms of the shooting sports to help keep alive what we have found to be a very enjoyable hobby of which will and does create friends not only close by but all across the world now with the great sharing of information and lives of others through this mystical thing we call the internet.
And if one does take the time to go back BFRShooter said nothing wrong only used words that he is comfortable with to describe what he was talking about to simply convey information to others. It was Taffin that blew the simple word BOOLITS out of proportion. Of which I still do not understand. Maybe he had a bad day or was not feeling well as I have read he has problems with his hands which may cause him pain of which can and will effect his state of mind and mood. All I can say is Mr. Taffin I do so hope that you are able to get well soon and if not then to better be able to control your pain and not pass it through in the written word to try and belittle others thinking or they way they try and convey information to help others or themselves. As this is a small world and we are not here very long so we need no we have to get along as we do have for the most part a common ground to do so. And to pass the shooting legacy on to others to help keep it alive as time marches by. Do not let Shooting Sports go Gently into that goodnight.
If one sits in thundering quiet the soul dies slow instead of yell to the heavens for all to hear and behold the righteous and upstanding and ones of which should be held with tales of woe. By C.A.S. <--- Thats Me lol.

"Boolit" - No big deal, just another degradation of the language. Not that I haven't participated in such myself, I say things like "ain't" and "fixin' to" with the best worst of them. What concerns me is that...
b4 2 lng we wl al bgin 2 tlk lk ths.
We receive email messages all the time in this gobbledygook Netspeak, and I refuse to answer them at all. No English, no answer. Jeff is more accommodating, he will try to understand it, and he's even used online translators. To me, it just ain't isn't worth the trouble.
And for you "new" guys - it's obvious you don't know Taffin, nor are you ever likely to know him. Just stick with bfr, and he'll teach you all how to shoot minute-of-catwhisker at 1500 years with a Ruger Old Model Vaquero, dropping all those lovely boolits into one hole using a passing plane as an aiming point.

Well, now we have resorted to calling out names... My name specifically... All the while I thought I was making a sincere attempt to be civil.... Guess being civil and attempting to stay on the topic made me low fruit... Age doesn't grant you a free pass in my book. I have had enough. I have seen lots of pasture groups shot by hack shooters that were miracles...
You mr bfrshooter are an idiot! ( Lower case intentional )
I refuse to dignify your absolute BS with an answer... Pull up the UASAF web page of their distinguished pistol shot badge holders. You will see my name at badge #231 in 1984... Nuff said.

Wow, this has been blown WAY out of proportion. Of all the things in the world to get emotional and offended about, the least (to me) is a slang term. Life must be pretty good.

Ya know Craig C, I did not call the first name although you have seem to have a propensity for it. If you read the post, I said it gives the appearance of etc. Ones disability does not excuse conduct of gent nor the profanity or incivility aptly demonstrated in this thread by Msrs. taffin et al..
G'day

Craig C, You seem all handy to protect Mr. Taffin. Yet if you read several of his posts you will see he writes very well with his voice activated computer in lower case when he wants to. Most of the time he doesn't because he wants to shout down anyone who disagrees with him. I find that to be just short of insulting. I could care less what aflications he has that require a voice activated computer ,if you are going to use it learn how before telling everyone he is a poor disabled person. Maybe he isn't the only one who is disabled and most still get it done right and don't complain.
Before you insult anyone else maybe you should take a course in computer etiquette. Maybe you can even school Mr Taffin while you are at it.

And yes Ken O Neill I did just join today. Does that mean I am unfit for your forum? I guess it must as the only thing you can say is something derogatorive. I have lurked here for almost a year before joining. Learned a lot, One thing I learned is you are the most clanish bunch of bool s**t artists I have ever been around. So go ahead and suck up to the gun rags and their writers, Maybe you will get your name in print someday.

You know, I think a good thing to think before you post on the internets would be "would this get me punched in the face in a bar?" A rough bar.
Any chance we can lock/delete this thread?

I am thinking that the best answer here is to meet down at your place in Texas and FIGHT ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) ;D ;D ;D We could get the UFC involved... Do a pay per view on the outdoor channel... Michael Bane could do some sort of "Best defense/Best Offense cage fighting show! Might be a money maker! ![:-*](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/kiss.png)

Maybe you dummies should try reading a little harder before you attribute lower case sentences and profanity to John Taffin. Or are you reading just enough to get your feathers ruffled?
Seriously, I'm reading the garbage on the CastBoolits site and it doesn't even seem like we are all involved in the same discussion. Talk about blowing things WAAAAAAY out of proportion over their little made-up pet word.
A good question to ask is, do the folks over on the CastBoolits site, especially those who have invaded here, actually believe bfrshooter's outlandish accuracy claims??? Because that would be very telling.
