Has anyone tried GT Bullets?
To what velocity and how do they work?

I bid on and won 500 each of the 38 cal 145gr SWC HP & 32 cal 100gr HP off of Gunbroker last month. They appear to be well cast, quality bullets and the price was most definitely right! But between work, a 3 room remodeling project & getting my 6 acre yard ready for Spring, I haven't had a chance to do any loading with them yet.

Me thinks I'll have to try some of those 165gr hp's. Thanks for the heads up on these y'all.

Since I found GT bullets I have not cast a bullet on my own. His hollow points are very reasonably priced and DRT on Jackrabbits.

I use his .32 cal in my 32-20 Marlin. 8.5 grs. of AA9 is what I have used in this one. Edge hits on jacks still drops them whereas solid point cast bullets only Mame them. Also, his .35 HP in my 357 magnum with 12.5 grs of 2400 in 38 Special +p brass is deadly for the same reasons. I cannot remember the weight but it is the RN H.P. I have been using his .45 HP in my various 45 ACP and they seem accurate but I have not connected on any Jacks as of yet though I have tried on several but missed. I am keeping the velocity's below 1250 fps except maybe in the Marlin. His HP bullets are quite soft and they do expand reliably. I have not done extensive testing but I know they work much better on the Rabbits than my own hard cast.

38WCF,
Excellent report. I really appreciate it. That's what I was hoping for.

As Encore 64 stated, it's just the kind of information I was looking for, as well.

I have some of the 280gr. 45 SWC's. Appear to be 270SAA bullets. Accuracy at 1000 fps has been excellent with little to no leading in several different revolvers. The 285gr. 44 SWC is a great bullet in my opinion. Shoots amazing in my Power #5 44 Special at 1000fps. No leading at all and hits steel plates HARD! This is a long bullet with a lot of bearing surface and wide meplat. The 225 gr. hp 45 looks promising too. Accuracy has been good and they should expand well on light skinned game.
Nothing in season here to try them on game yet. Looking forward to trying them in that role this fall.

Has anyone tried GT Bullets? To what velocity and how do they work? From their site... ".25 caliber hollow point cast lead bullets designed especially for the .257 Jackrabbit." Any company smart enough to get in on the early support of Fermin's Jackrabbit round has my vote. Savvy.

I ordered 1000 of the Fermin 25s from them yesterday. I have already purchased several hundred of the .25 and will load them in my 257 JR when it arrives from Alan. In fact, I sent Alan 30 rounds with said bullet loaded to sight in my gun.
