I snapped a mold handle in half yesterday! It was a Lee handle that has been on several molds. It's last detail was on a hollow point mold with some sticky pins and while I was rapping on it to pop the sprue plate, the handles shifted in my hand and felt a bit weird. One of the arms had snapped in half! I recon it had fractured from the extra tapping needed to get bullets off of the sticky pins but don't really know. Luckily the mold wasn't damaged. It sure did surprise me! Anyone had that happen before??

I hear ya regarding Lee quality Clint. But I sure am glad they do what they do. Probably wouldn't have learned to cast or load if not for their affordable gear! Do they make a Santa hat helmet and flak jacket???

If I recall correctly, I think I had to either send them the broken one,,, or at least a picture of the broken handle.

I got two e-mails from Lee today. One thanked me for the picture and said a replacement would get mailed out tomorrow. The second was an invoice. No charge for replacement or shipping! That is top rate customer service if you ask me. Nice job LEE! Glad you guys suggested it because I wouldn't have expected that level of service. Thanks!

I had that happen twice. They replaced the first one. I do still have the second one. If you need the good half it will fit your other good half. It might last a few more hits unless you are using a sledg hammer. Come visit and it's yours 😀. Let me know what you think.

Hey I appreciate that kind offer Mr Callshot. Thanks! LEE did send me a new good half so I am whole again. Can I come visit anyway? I use a big screwdriver with its handle wrapped with duct tape as padding and hit the sprew plate and handle joint with that. Am working on being less enthusiastic hahaha. Thanks again for offering up your good half.
