Growing up hunting blacktail deer in Western Oregon with many cousins and uncles where we hunted in drives. From my high school years through college years I always managed to get a decent buck, usually found one trying to sneak out and managed to be a step ahead of them. They started calling me blacktailslayer after a particular shot I made on nice buck. One of my cousins was the same way and we nicknamed him Buck.

I make custom duck calls. And obviously enjoy hunting waterfowl quite a bit. Waterfowl are good for the soul of those who cannot sit idle. When I was younger, I'd take a waterfowl hunt over deer any day. Bitter cold and freezing rain would still leave me smiling the whole time. There is nothing sweeter than trying to speak their language and sit them in the decoys. According to my dad, ducks and geese corrupted me early on because I never had patience. Now in my mid 40s, I am in the deer/hog woods about as much as the marsh and also developing a lot more patience. Imagine that.

Hi, my name is Robster. a buddy used to call me that. I also go by Spencer on some forums. It was the name of my wife's dog and as I am in the doghouse most of the time I might just as well share the dog's name!!!

Sixshot helped me sign up for a forum and ask what I wanted. I did not know and he suggested call ( my surname ) and shot to match his handle with shot. I said ok, knowing there would be plenty of nice members here that would soon start the callshot fan club. Very soon there was good natured bantering on the forums and brass was made for my handle name. Soon there was hats, T-shirts, and calendars made up with callshot on them. People came from miles around to meet and shoot with Dick and me. I traveled a few places to shoot with other forum members and had a lot of fun. Fermin , however, mentioned that my 15 minutes of fame had ran out so I faded back into obscurity, got married and moved out of the worlds largest playground and haven't been heard of since! Steve

My initials and I was in the 101st Airborne when I found out there were guns on the internet. I needed something easy to remember so it's followed me across the internet. Sweet mercy, I just realized that was almost 18 years ago...

Mine is my SASS alias. I chose that alias because I am from Missouri, and it is the Missouri River that is the "Big Muddy". Oh, and also my last name is Waters and I have been called "Muddy" most of my life. I have friends that I doubt know my real first name.

First of all, my name is Carl. Unfortunate, I know. lol... Second, anybody who knows me will tell you I am batsh!t crazy. 'N that I'm 10x crazier sober than I am, inebriated or medicated.
While all of the above is true, the name was actually hung on me in Bosnia, when I was the NCOIC of the Mental Health Section attached the Combat Support Hospital, providing care to our guys in-country. I then re-classified PSYOP, so... It's been my user name on every forum since discovering the internet. I you run across a "Crazy Carl" on a guitar, motorcycle, or gun forum, it's me.
