Torn/frayed Meniscus and a little arthritis cleaned up. Just a little maintenance on a wear item.... I had the left one worked on about 13 years ago. After that recovery I quit running. I decided I'd rather wear my knees out down hill skiing and Sheep Hunting. It appears to be going as planned

Snyd, Good luck on the rehab. I start today on shoulder reheab following rotator cuff repair a couple of weeks back. I'm a lousy patient! I tried shooting left handed yesterday, and I have realized over the last two weeks just how right handed I really am, and it was interesting! A lot harder to hang on to the gun, though part of the problem is my left hand is also recovering from a dog bite. Looks like you timed your repairs nicely so you'll be ready for next fall's hunting too! Take care, Tim

Good plan. I don’t mind from here and there, running downrange to set targets, double-timing back to shoot offhand. What I don’t like is old time running for wrestling, running to run. Used to run forty blocks in Manhattan to visit a friend or museum; them days long gone. Met guys wore out their knees running pavement. Took family skiing two days ago. Hard wind out of the north, glazed snow with cement drifts. Great workout. Shoot the same kind of weather, simply for the exhilaration and because one must perform under adversity.
So I commend your skiing and sheep hunting, the great difference of course between alpine skiing & hunting, versus running, with running you must push yourself. Whereas in skiing gravity pulls you, and in hunting the game pulls you----the workout comes deep, with the mind always at full attention.
And bravo on your daughter’s shooting, with a salute to her to continue. David Bradshaw

Snyd, I had the same surgery back in the early-'90s. Just don't rush the recovery and good luck to you!

Seems a lot of surgery around here lately - mine included.
I hope you recover fully and can continue doing the things you love. I'm just getting back to shooting since my shoulder replacement - PT still ongoing...

Wow, you guys have had some serious surgeries recently! Mine is small comparably speaking. I feel for you. I pray your healing is swift and complete. I'm walking around with a cane and can put weight on it. As the swelling goes down I'll be working on flexibility.

I had the same cleanup done mid November and it went great, not even any PT assigned. For the most part do not even remember it was done except for like yesterday when I brain farted and bailed out of the back of my pick up onto hard concrete and ended up doing the classic "drop and roll" across the slab much to the chagrin of my wife who was standing there. The knee feels 100% better but like I tell anyone who asks about all the ortho work I've had done, "fixed" is not restored. After each procedure one has to accept a new level of normal and until one realizes that the repair work will likely continue.

Hoping for a quick recovery. My father had a couple of knee surgeries so I know how the recovery goes.

Also hoping you have a speedy recovery - if not for purely selfish reasons. I have the same scheduled on April 25 for the same knee.
