.500 Cal-400gr .44 Cal-240gr Handgun solids. Has anyone worked up loads with these? If I start at the lower end for their plated bullet counter parts load data, will this be a safe place to start? I have used Cutting Edge in my rifles but not with the revolvers yet. Looking for options to hunt pigs and bear in Kalifornia. Thanks

I haven't used them in the calibers he is inquiring about, but have used them on game. Lehigh makes some nice all-copper hunting bullets as well.

If you use plated bullet data with monolithic copper solids you run a very real chance of sticking your bullets in the bore.

I'm pretty sure CEB can provide you with load data. That's where I got mine when I was testing in .480 Ruger leading up to my Argentina water buffalo hunt.

*****whitebull.... get specific. David Bradshaw Sorry for being so vague. I couldn't find any load data for these. I am loading for my BFR .500JRH and for a SRH .44 magnum. I know in my rifles, there is a change in velocity/pressure when using monolithic pills. Was hoping someone had DOPE with these.

I'll give CEB a call. These really look unstoppable with the right motivation behind them.

The people @ CEB were very helpful with load data. On another note, I went through some old threads regarding CEB bullets. I had no idea what a touchy subject these copper boolits were! Its probably a subject I'll tackle on my own........

I killed this water buffalo with CEB's 340 grain solids out of my .480 SRH. They worked well.

Now that would be a hunt of a lifetime for me. Very nice. Did the bullet make a complete pass through?
