I'm looking at a stealth hunter and the 2 tone PC version and I'm curious if anyone knows what coating is on these guns and/or how durable the coating is? Does this stuff wear good or is it something that scratches easily?
Any other information about either of these revolvers or the 629 PC Competitor is appreciated.
Thanks Bryan

Everything the Performance Center has touched has been perfect. The gunsmiths are outstanding. PC work is the best out there in my experience.

I can't be of much help here but I will say this, I'd Love to have one of those 629 Competitors with the top picatinny rail and, weighted (removable weights) underlug! IMO that's a good looking rig and I'd like to have it for huntin and anything else I can use a 44Mag/Spl for and, I use all of mine for about everything/anything that needs doing!? Love the .429 BigBore44

I'm assuming this is the same finish that's on my PC 627 V Comp. I've had it a few years now, and I only see the slightest hint of wear. I'd say it's tougher than a blue gun for sure, but yes, you can scratch it or wear through it eventually. There's one tiny little spot on mine that has worn through at the bottom edge of the frame below the crane from riding in it's holster. Other than that, it's held up quite well. Seems to be fairly tough stuff in my opinion.
